Overview
SparkyLinux is a free, open source Linux distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux. It is lightweight, fast and highly customizable, suitable for desktop users, developers and low-end hardware. It provides stable versions (based on Debian stable branches, such as Debian 12 "Bookworm") and rolling versions (based on Debian testing branches, such as Debian 13 "Trixie"), supporting multiple desktop environments (Xfce, LXQt, KDE Plasma, etc., about 20 choices). SparkyLinux uses the APT package manager and the customized APTus AppCenter to provide rich software support. It also provides GameOver version (gamers), Rescue version (system recovery) and MinimalGUI version (light desktop). SparkyLinux is designed to balance performance and ease of use, suitable for a variety of scenarios from old hardware to modern PCs.
